IBURI –
“Our Indigenous Perspective”

This is a closed-circuit television channel, with programming specifically aimed at the Nazareth community in the Amazon and the surrounding Tikuna communities. The project’s goal is to strengthen Tikuna culture by showcasing audiovisual productions on important themes of their culture, while also serving as a means to rescue and preserve ancestral traditions as audiovisual memory for future generations.
The monthly programs are broadcast in Tikuna and Spanish, featuring content such as highly region-specific news, documentaries, short films, video clips, movies, educational activities, and the transmission of values. All content is developed collaboratively with the community. The project is equipped with audiovisual equipment and has appointed Luz Dari Mojica as the head of future operations, enabling the indigenous people to independently produce content, including broadcasting within the community and other Tikuna communities in the Amazon.
As part of the project, the film The Origin of the Tikuna People (IBURI) was produced. This work, created by CHC, received support from Grancolombiano Polytechnic University.
